When we talk about growth, it is best illustrated through an understanding of centripetal and centrifugal force.

Centripetal force draws objects toward an axis.  In other words, it has a magnetic draw to the CenterPointe.  Christ is the CenterPointe of all that we do and our desire is to see others drawn into a closer relationship with Him.  We desire growth that is magnetic to those around us, drawing them to Christ as well.

Centrifugal force is the opposite of centripetal force.  Centrifugal force is what we experience when we turn a corner too fast in our car.  The force pushes us away from the direction we are turning.  Those who walk with Christ are sent.  As we grow closer to Him we also grow in our understanding and desire to be on mission in His name.

At CenterPointe, we desire to be a place where people are drawn in and sent out.  We are drawn in to grow closer to Christ and we are sent out to make His name known.  This is the way we measure our growth.  It is in our desire to reach our community, but it is equally in our desire to reach the world.
